Con-Fab Engineering & Welding is a privately owned structural steel and miscellaneous metals fabricator located in Shreveport, Louisiana. We are situated 2 blocks from a major Interstate Highway, 5 miles from the Port of Shreveport/Bossier City on the Red River and have a KCS Railroad siding into our building.

Our drafting and design department utilizes AutoCAD software and we maintain a seat for SteelCad. Total employment is currently 18 production personnel and 11 office personnel. We are uniquely positioned to provide a rapid response to situations where time is critical.

All production welders are tested and currently certified for AWS D1.1, D1.2 and D1.6. A.S.M.E. Sec. IX. and A.N.S.I. B31.3 certified welders are available on a per job basis.

Facilities:

• 9 acres of land inside the City of Shreveport, Louisiana
• Bay 1 is approximately 112 feet by 400 feet, or 44,800 sq. ft. under roof
• Bay 2 is approximately 60 feet by 500 feet, or 30,000 sq. ft. under roof
• Overhead Cranes:
  • Bay 1: 1 - 5-ton hoist and 1 - 3-ton hoist on single bridge
  • Bay 2: 3 - 3-ton and 1 - 2-ton bridge cranes
• Fork Lift: Clark 7,000# lift truck

• Peddinghaus PCD-1100 drill line, with infeed and outfeed conveyors and cross-transfers
• Peddinghaus 40” band saw running in tandem with the drill line
• Hydro-Mech V-18 21” tilting vertical band saw
• Hydro-Mech S-20A 18” swiveling horizontal band saw with auto-feed capability
• Controlled Automation ABL-100 angle line, with infeed and outfeed conveyors
• GEKA 120-ton ironworker
• Scotchman 45-ton ironworker set up for pipe coping (for handrail fabrication)
• ESAB oxyfuel and plasma burning table
• Cincinnati 3/8” x 12’-0 hydraulic shear
• Stamco 3/16” x 10’-0 mechanical shear
• Chicago ¼” x 10’-0 leaf break
• Whitney 90-ton flange and web punch units, with power unit, used for detail work
• Ingersol-Rand 65 hp high-speed air compressor
• Ingersol-Rand 35 hp reciprocating air compressor
